Grass in the city - October 25, 2011- One picture layered over another in order to change the background
Strap - October 25, 2011 - The strap used to be hunter green
A Path - October 25, 2011 - Leaf used to be orange and background used to be grey. Upped the saturation of background and lowered the saturation of the leaf
I think that making the strap in the second picture Red was a great idea. It contrast great with the green grass and makes the strap pop more. If it would have stayed hunter green I don't think it would have stood out as much as it does now that you have changed it to red.

ReplyDeleteNice photos! In the first photo, you use the rule of thirds quite nicely. In the second, I like your depth of field and the pop of color of the strap. There is a small area on the left corner of the strap that is a little grainy/blurry. You can tell the green is popping out a little bit and makes it a little distracting, but regardless it's still very pretty. You have incorporated beautiful colors in the third picture with the leaf. It is a tad over-saturated though. Perhaps toning down the colors a little bit would really make the black and white leaf pop out amongst all the colors. Good work! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your third picture! Changing the background and leaf with saturation worked very nicely. You can tell that it's not natural, but I think that's the beauty in this photograph. It really turned out well!! I love the colors. I also like how the very top and very bottom of the picture are out of focus and the leaf and crack are very important in the photograph. It seems slightly grainy, but I think that might be because the picture is so large on the internet. Great job, it's a fabulous picture!
ReplyDeleteOOOOO I like the last one with the little leaf the most so technicolor and magnificent.
ReplyDeleteP.S. i didn't even realize that that was me and then I was like "EWWW"
thanks!
I am loving the textures in the red strap and the gravel photos. It looks like you went to a magical land to shoot the gravel photo. Take me next time! Haha
ReplyDeleteRachem, I agree with Alison. The change in color of the strap didnt take away from the texture at all. I give ya props for doing such a good job on selecting the strap. Every bumb and ridge looks to be filled in perfect. Something im struggling with... haha
